She has outgrown me already

For about six months, Hazel has, at least once a day, drawn a picture of the two of us.  Sometimes we are fairies, sometimes I have hair (I often don't though . . .?), sometimes we are holding balloons, and other times we are standing in a flowerbed.  But today, she came home from school with her first mama-free picture.  I asked her why she didn't draw me too, and she said, "Well, I can do all the Mama-things now."  I suppose this is her way of telling me that I have become obsolete.  I always thought I'd have a few more years. There are so many more things I wanted to teach her. Alas.

PRE-OBSOLETION: I am on the right (the one with the short hair).  Hazel is on the left (the one under the rainbow with hair longer than her legs).  We are both fairies, though Hazel is turned sideways so you can only see one wing and one arm.

POST-OBSOLETION: The picture speaks for itself.
